While within our own privacy we realise the needs of a place where only the self is permitted. Such a place is required to observe the self, reasoning about everything happening in the present moment, and becoming free from any negative conditioning we have contact with in the environment we live in. It is mandatory we have such a place to prevent negativity to mix within our love nature, which is only controlled by a constant push of consciousness to keep the self in an awake state, conscious about everything that is happening, including the experience of suffering. There are only three options available to walk the path of a meaningful life: (1) enhancing the self by getting a better position in society; (2) keeping defending the self against our enemies; and (3) connecting to nature, walking towards a simple but meaningful journey. Like Buddha, the enlightened one, the moment we realise negativity is so strong in the surroundings, it is the moment we understand we have to move, connect to nature, and find a place of light similar to the places where Buddha's statues were built.
It is time to realise everything about the self, and what is our role in the society we are inserted into. The moment we start to observe to self to understand our own suffering, it is the moment we realise no matter how strong we are in the use of our consciousness, and in the will to walk the path of a meaningful life, we could not do it properly if the community we are part of is not enrolled in a similar, meaningful, path. We are social animals, and we need each other to survive in a cooperative way. Even if we have different goals we could not make progress, tap into the evolutionary wheel of humankind, if we give more value to meaningless activities than life itself.
Buddha, the enlightened one, has shown the three jewels of practising our mind training that implies taking refuge in Buddha himself, the Dharma, and the Sangha, which is the community walking a similar path towards a meaningful life. The moment we realise where we are, and how those three jewels are related to the self, it is the moment we understand what we have to do to continue enhancing the self in the path of a meaningful life.
