Resilience. Be resilient. Cultivate resilience. What is so special about the word resilience and the state of a resilient person? In our lives we all have to experience difficult moments. Moments we are alone and noone is able to help us due to restrictions imposed physically, mentally, or even legally. At those moments of difficulty we have to picture clearly in our mind the significance of the word resilience; we have to become a resilient person. Our natural state is to be kind, compassionate, and to spread love towards others. A resilient person is characterised by the ability to keep such natural state even after the occurrence of a difficult situation, which may [inclusive] has put his/her life on check. A resilient person may appear to be broken in million small pieces but if we look carefully, he/she has just adapted to the environment; he/she has just shown a capability to be resilient. A resilient person values life more than anything. A resilient person does not ...

Are you alone? Do you have the feeling the world around you is not as good as it seems? Would you like to live in a world where love and compassion are fundamental values of every human being? Come with me in this journey of understanding, and read carefully my words. It is so good to love someone else. We get a genuine smile every time we see a loved one; every time we thought about such person. We get happy to see the loved one's happiness. We count the nanoseconds to the cinema, dinner, lunch; to every moment we are able to spend together with a loved one. That feeling of joy, is it good, right? Do you want to feel it often, am I right? But, unfortunately, you are alone most of the time… Make a wish to transform the world into a better place to live… wait… stop… we need no wish. We need actions, and the first action we can do is to start [if not already started] to love ourselves. Life is to be lived at a unique perspective and relativity: ours. There is no way to an...

When we stop a little bit our routines to look at the nature, we usually find something that catches the eye; we find a natural disposition of an ecosystem. Observe the details of the image; the landscape it brings for contemplation. Look how huge is life all around. From the lake that provides water to all sentient beings to the flowers that put a different colour on the environment, all is natural. Nothing is artificial. Imagine yourself as part of such beautiful ecosystem. Could you do that? Could you live there without create a disturbance on such beautiful place? Could you put yourself as a contributor rather than an explorer? Those are tough questions. We have the tendency to make an effort to adapt the environment to our needs. It naturally brings negativity, destruction, forced modifications that unbalance all forms of life around. We just realise that when the beauty we have found the moment we have moved in transforms itself on something we can't even recognis...

Hey buddy. How are you? Are you feeling comfortable? It looks like so. Let me tell you something… Actually, let me tell you not just one but a bunch of things. First, you know you are adorable. A beautiful and fragile life, which has just jumped into this world. Your innocence is precious; your capability of observation is unique. We, adults, want to have such capability preserved as it is in your age. The world is not the happy-milk life you have now. It is a place you have to observe carefully. A place where we need love and compassion gestures. Do you see the care I have with you? Do you see the value I put on to your life? Well… you should keep them on the top of your memories. You should ensure you do the same gestures to another sentient being.  You should love and learn as a child your entire life. You should keep your innocence, light, sense of humour with an easy smile. You should practise meditation as soon as you get a better understanding about the world aro...

On the road of life we often ask ourselves: Am I in the right path? Am I in the right direction? Have I made the right decision to go this way? The answers to all of those questions do not matter anymore if we put ourselves on the past. When we are thinking about the past, we are on the hope we could go back to evaluate a decision; to check if it was the right thing to do, based on the knowledge we have in the present moment. We just can't. Past is in the past, and it cannot be rewritten, at least not until we find a way to perform time travel. Past events are, at most, life lessons. We have to be conscious to get all the subliminal messages a past event has to teach us. Thus, we may use those lessons to react in a different way on the face of a similar situation on the present moment. Live the here and the now, the present moment. Embrace the impermanence of life; embrace your impermanence. We are in constant change, and we are capable to reinvent ourselves everyday we...

Every sentient being gets happy and comforted with a genuine and warm hug. We know the sensation. We feel the amusement of both the lion and the child just by the contemplation of the picture. Remember a good and genuine hug you have got from a loved one. Remember what has happened to your body. Remember the sensation you have had with the tight grip and closeness in the touch. Remember the inner smile, a feeling of joy, gratefulness, and amusement you have had. Are those memories amazing, right? When we are alone those memories could help us build our inner peace and inner strength. We have to hug our own self. We have to hug ourselves with the same love and compassion attitude we hug a loved one. The experience is awesome. We feel relaxed, satisfied, protected against negativity around. We develop a sense of self-love and self-care; we improve our body as we improve our mind. Did you hug yourself today? If not, go right away to do that. Feel the sensation. Rise the amazin...

There is no need for panic. No need to turn your life into a live samsara's bubble of suffering. No need to end up your life because you see no short-term, short-distance solution close to your hands. Even if you are alone; even if you feel and experience lonely deep inside; even if you have noone to turn into on the most difficult times; you have one person that is always there: YOURSELF. Look to the picture and the representation of the environment. Look to the green life that grows there. There are rocks around; the soil is composed of sand; and even so, there is life, a green and vivid one. In life we may have been surrounded by negativity. We may experience difficulties, physically and emotionally. We may have the desire to be somewhere else; to snap our fingers and wake up within an environment full of love and compassion.  Think with yourself: when someone is not respectful with you; when you constantly receive a unfair treatment; even when your rights are violat...

Peace and Freedom. Every human being deserves and seeks to achieve those two states. Love, compassion, kindness; all good intentions and attitudes we cultivate are based on the achievement of a peace state. We tend to look outside, to seek the comfort of another person [usually a loved one] but we need to realise peace is achieved from within. We may use elements from the outside as influencers on the promotion of our inner peace. However, the hard work is ours and only ours.  In a daily basis, the cultivation of inner peace has amazing benefits. We get less stressed, we smile more, we deal better with angriness and insults, we are more open to love. The benefits are, indeed, shared with everyone around us. Freedom is something that walks hand-to-hand with peace. We seek freedom of speech, freedom of movement, freedom to do whatever we want to do, since it causes no harm. The achievement of peace and freedom turns the mind more creative. Make love and no war. Be free an...

Life is a big puzzle we may pass our entire journey without the capability to figure out what is it about; what is the big picture, the solution to all of our problems. We may pass a considerable amount of time thinking about the same problems; in the attempt to find a match to solve them. We may experience negative emotions; we may give up; we may remain unconscious. Unconscious about ourselves, our true nature; unconscious about the environment we live; unconscious about the challenges we are already on top of; unconscious about the purpose of life. We may have a piece of the puzzle on our hands; we may have no idea where we need to put it. We forget life is not a difficult puzzle but a big one. The purpose of life is happiness; there is no need to rush to deal with difficulties; to look outside for strategies. Instead, look inside. Look inside to find balance; look inside to promote relaxation; look inside to find inner peace; look inside to find love. Be and remain cons...

One day I have asked myself why do I love that beautiful woman? The answer: I don't know; I just do. Even without a clear answer about that silly question, I have decided to write it down to see if I could pinpoint something. The result is what comes next. I have just realised I couldn't answer that question right away because when we fall in love with someone else, it is not like to switch on a love button and, ocus pocus, you are in love. It's much deeper than that. By some reason our souls have got together and it is like we resonate at complementary frequencies. It is like a dance where partners are well connected, and the move of one follow slightly and beautifully the move of the other. Sometimes, the dance is not perfect, the moves are not performed in their best, but partners are still well connected, prepared to make adjustments. It is not about the body shape; it is about the connection of body and mind altogether that makes a body looks like a piece of art befor...

No matter what is our colour skin, religion, sexual orientation, gender, nationality, social status; we are all together on this planet called Earth. We begin our lives as a small, fragile, dependent child, which requires attention and help to almost everything. We learn how to eat, walk, speak. We observe the world around us and we get fascinated with the huge amount of information at the lens of all our senses. We grow and we learn how to learn, how to acquire the knowledge required to understand some pieces of information we have had contact before. We are in constant change; we are impermanent. We are not the same persons we were the day before. We change our priorities as much as required to reach our personal goals. We seek love and we are thankful to be loved. We all want peace not war. Sometimes we are so focused on ourselves; our needs; our goals; our desires; to feed our ego; and we forget we are all together. Together to take care of natural resources. Together to educate o...

While we walk into life we make memories, which are part of our past. When we focus on the past memories, mainly on the negative ones, those memories transform themselves in an alternative reality. It doesn't mean we live on the past but we may try to change the present to avoid or meet those memories. It is like to walk into a special sand, where our footsteps never get erased. Some persons focus on the past not only with their own experiences but with the experiences of others. They can't control themselves and their actions; they are almost lost on their own present but to find some kind of pleasure and satisfaction, a sensation of power towards others, they try to control someone else by force; a desire to put a target person back to the past; a present adjustment. They will never succeed. The beauty of life is its impermanence. Its constant state of change we experience every single day. What you do in the past counts as lessons; good or bad experiences have something to ...

As social animals we live in a group formation called society. Life in society has implicit rules, hidden contract lines we cannot find written within any notebook page. We should care from one another; we shouldn't harm anyone; we should be gentle with anyone; we should use understanding before judgement; we should enable one another to have a peaceful and joyful lifetime. Those are a small part of implicit rules we know are in the roots of a good human relationship of any kind. However, some of us just put those implicit rules out of memory to promote hate, chaos, injustice, disorders, violence, dominance, and control. All of those negative promotions are part of what we call hatred culture, which doesn't bring us any good to our life in society. On the contrary, hatred culture disseminates we should explore one another as a way of life, which means we separate ourselves in classes; slaves and owners whom have power and money to promote and maintain slavery. As the slavery m...

Life is not about one colour, it is about a rainbow of colours; sensations we experience from a warm air of a beautiful greenfield with flowers, to the cold of a mountain covered by snow. When in the warmest part of the day we are on the move. We have our scheduled defined. We wake up; we take care to jumpstart our day; we work; we get things done; we are on a productive flow. We may think we have infinite energy but it is just an illusion; a fabrication of the mind. In reality, we need to cool off and get on a more static and monochromatic state of calmness and relaxation. A white meditation reign. We need just to observe what happens around us. To observe ourselves, the state of our body and mind. We need to balance. Balance the enthusiasm we may feel when we have all our plans on the schedule; balance our emotions to prevent to go deep to bad and negative moods; balance our expectations to prevent the surprise of frustration; balance our body and mind to accept the good life has to...

Our brain is filled with a lot of information. All connected by a central wire: ourselves. Information about our childhood, good and bad moments, loved ones, formal education, theoretical and practical knowledge. Each day we breathe we acquire new information. We must be aware of the environment we are inserted into to keep ourselves on the present; on the here and now. We should be gentle, simple, creative, tranquil, kind, conscious, intimate, and trustworthy. We should care about everyone, in special, people we love. We should be authentic but not naive at the same time. We should show our feelings towards others. We should open up when intuition says so. Intuition allows our brain to use its huge potential of data correlation and information retrieval. We live; we love; and we pray all by intuition. We hope for a better place to live. We seek to establish a foundation to create our own branch we can call family. We remind ourselves we would like to find someone to love and be loved;...

Like the waters of an ocean, our thoughts are in constant move. Each instant of time our mind has a thought, which sometimes is captured by our consciousness. The metaphor used to the mind is a monkey, which the jump between different places and trees represents well that constant change of thoughts. When we tap on that constant movement of thoughts we get agitated. We are not able to concentrate; we get distracted; we may get lost on our own mind. To enable to stay on the present, right here and right now, we train our mind; we meditate. Ancient cultures, such as ones originated in India and Tibet, have thousands of years of accumulated experience on meditation techniques. We learn carefully from them, and we try to achieve the benefits described by the ancient knowledge. As life is a solo and personal experience observed by our own perspective and relativity, the practise of meditation is also a unique and personal experience. Another person cannot replace us to meditate in our beh...

When we see someone like that what do we think? We think about a worker with some kind of success, maybe in a typical day of work outside the office because Covid-19 measures. We never think he maybe a peaceful warrior. We don't know how is his day-to-day life. We don't know why he works the way he works, and why he behaves the way he behaves. We are not on the shoes of that man but we make assumptions based on information we get from the environment. We trust the environment not the man. We assume he is successful [maybe he is] but we don't know what he has had to endure in order to achieve his success. We assume he has a lovely and bright life outside the office but we don't know if he is behind the creation of his own happiness, which has little contribution from the environment he lives. If we see him on a kind of struggle we assume he has issues but we don't consider what is going on around him. We make assumptions all the time without ask him: how are you? Som...

To learn is to live. Since we start our journey in this world we also start to learn. First, we learn by examples. We are not capable to understand much. Words are challenges, gestures are entertainment; basically, we are small but big observers. As we walk on life we learn new concepts; we start to understand words, we visualise new ways to acquire and store knowledge, we combine different strategies of learning. We discover the world around us with a unique perspective. When we fill our discoveries with love and compassion, we understand we have to use our knowledge to care about ourselves to enable us to care about others. It doesn't mean we will leave others to their best lucky; it means we will be able to help as soon as we get some kind of solid ground, physically or emotionally speaking. Training is associated with knowledge. We train to be able to handle a situation we must face someday in life. We learn martial arts not to attack but to defend ourselves if we get attacked...

We follow a religion and it's teachings with the faith we will have a better life, we will become wiser, and we will find purpose in everything we do. We pray, we change our habits and behaviour, we believe in something good and new to happen out of the sudden. But faith does nothing without actions. It is easy to put the finger to the outside. We know we live in a world full of hypocrisy discrimination, inequality, injustice, and people on the line to take advantage of anything or anyone whom they see as a potential target to explore. If we try to workout to change the outside, and wait in faith it will result in a direct change, we will end up frustrated, drained, and exhausted. We will loose our faith in the world, and if we lack emotional intelligence, we will give up everything. Instead of change the outside, we should start to change the inside. We should get our mind and body strong enough to support the current situation we live, and to practise actions that benefit our in...

Transcendental Partner As social animals there is a moment in life we hope to find our soulmate. A person whom will be our partner to life. In a very special, super rare occasions, we end up and find a special one; a person that just shows up in the most mysterious and miraculous ways. We go out at night in the company of a friend to have a little bit of fun. We end up in different places. We drink. We dance. We get tired. We decide to go back home and, from behind a shield wall formed by a bunch of folks, a luminous and bright person shows up in front of us. There is room for a last dance, we think. That last dance, the moments we have shared, the way we end up that night, all of that has shown we have found each other: our transcendental connection. We end up apart from each other. We live separated lives. We have had good and bad moments but we have kept that night on our memories; all the good moments we have shared on our hearts. To find a person like that is as to win the lotter...

Life. Love. Listen. Let go. We are social animals. We organise ourselves in groups. We end up with colleagues; we seek friends and family; we follow a religion; we are subjected to the laws of a specific country, which regulates our rights and obligations. Besides to be part of a huge social system, life is an individual path. There is no way to a person to live the life of another. We walk together but alone at the same time. We love; we listen; we let go. Love warms our heart and fulfill our soul. To live without love is to live in a world of darkness, a sad and cold world with almost no smile. Listen to our intuition and to our heart is hard work but a required one. Sometimes, we let our desires cloud the way we see facts. We put our feet outside our life path, and we end up lost without knowledge about what to do to go back on the right direction. We should exercise the power of let go. The power to put attachment aside. The power to enhance self-love and self-care. The power to se...

Balance. Inner peace. Love. Compassion. The balance is among mind and heart. The conscious analysis comes from the mind. We analyse, we find reasons to believe, we research, we store knowledge, we explain unexplainable phenomenons, and we connect nanoparticles of different sources into a rational masterpiece of conscious understanding. The mind manifests itself to the outside world through our brain. To speak metaphorically, a person guided by heart is someone kind, compassionate; someone whom always cares about her/his loved ones. A person that trusts her/his instincts, but whom may be deceived by the believe to have found genuine love. A person whom will do everything [no harm to others included] to meet her/his loved one again; whom believes in transformation of love. Mind and heart must be in balance. We need both to live a balanced, peaceful, joyful, and meaningful life. To keep our inner balance we need to judge and validate our own actions; to reshape unwanted behaviours; to rei...

Peace. Like a crystal it is humble and strong. Peace disturbs the environment of troublemakers. They want chaos, war, power, control. They want you to do what they want, and in the way they want. You have no choice. They want to make social experiences. A troublemaker will work to disturb your peace. The worst ones, will do it in hidden ways; they have power and influence. Peaceful warriors must be strong. Love and compassion must be the values to be followed. Like a crystal, you should be calm. It doesn't mean you have no negative thoughts, it means they are controlled. If you are peaceful and static like a crystal, a troublemaker will try to disturb you in a way to make you continuously move on. Stand and relax. Find the purpose of your life; don't listen to negativity and don't throw away your life for nothing. If you are alone, try to find a way to live and seek help on loved ones. If that is not an option, train your mind and body. Find love. Say I love you. Meditate...

Look at the acoustic guitar on the picture. What do you see? How do you describe such guitar? Even without knowledge of all the answers we could get, we know every description will be unique; descriptions performed by genuine hearts. Some will find the guitar awesome, something special; others will say the guitar is ok but not so special; for thirds, the guitar may even pass unnoticed. Love works on the same way. When we love someone we are not side-by-side with a perfect person, which has no flaws, super strong and indestructible; we are side-by-side with a person, which even with her/his flaws turns out perfect for us. The air becomes lighter, the smell of flowers more intense, the sunlight rechargeable, the life seems to be blue. We can see the true-self of that person, a unique experience only observed by loved ones. What some may describe as a flaw, we see as an opportunity to grow. We see the curves, we get paralysed by a simple smile, enchanted by a sweet kiss, dominated by affe...

Our heart is like a small, beautiful, and precious lock: it is not always open but we know it will be released with the right key. Each one of us carries the key to release such internal lock. Two essencial elements are part of the forged key: love and compassion. We get fascinated by love and compassionate gestures such as to help a blind person to walk to the other side of a street; to be gentle and teach positive values to a child; to say thank you for a provided information; and to a genuine smile that makes even a tough day softer. Every person we've met has the potential to forge a key to open the internal lock to our heart. However, just the right one will be able to forge the right key to open it properly. I found you and you have forged the key to my heart the first time we have met. I have just realised it now. You represents everything good I see in a person. I know you are not perfect; you have [probably] bad days too. I know you have fears and uncertainties but togethe...

Brain and mind are related but not the same. The brain is the physical tissue that enables the mind to manifest the flow of thoughts we have in our day-to-day lives. As metaphors, we could think about the brain as the physical environment of a river, and the mind as the flow of water itself. The brain is not on the move. It is there, at the same place; it can be deteriorated or enhanced by ourselves, and it includes by the power of the mind. The mind is on the move, a flow of thoughts that pass on the brain continuously. If uncontrolled, the power of the mind can completely destroy the brain, and sometimes, the environment nearby. Meditation is a practise to keep brain and mind on beautiful behaviour and shape. The environment grows and modify itself beautifully, while the water keeps its course with no detours. In an instant of time, when we find a good combination between mind and brain, we have intelligence, a very sexy power. It smells good as a prepared essence to keep the sensati...

"Tรก chovendo amor" a Portuguese sentence which in English literally means "It's raining love". What a wonderful sentence to hear or read. It reminds us about a beautiful and genuine feeling. Feeling love brings us some doubts: Does she/he love me the same way I do? Do I need to be more explicit to be noticed? Does she/he really care? Insecurity. Noone loves equally. Love is a unique feeling each one of us has a specific way to feel, in regards the context, situation, person, etc. When genuine love is on the table, it comes hand-to-hand with understanding. Understanding instead of judgement. Judgement should just be accompanied with understanding for our own actions to help validate and reshape our behaviour. We don't need to be explicit. Love is on the details, the small ones nothing could buy. When we love, we care. Attachment may cloud our understanding about a specific situation. Meditate and change to a restaurant where attachment is not part of menu. It...

The sun rise up and strong on the sky. Sometimes it's illumination is obfuscated by dark clouds with considerable density, difficult to get through. Ancient cultures have treated the sun like a God. A special element essential to life. It's with that specialty we should treat each other. Everyone like to be treated in a good and special way. A surprise breakfast from a lovely wife; a unexpected lunch on a beach coast; a dinner with intentions of a big love. All treated as equals. Love and compassion spread everywhere. The moment the sun sets down and its illumination seems to be ceased, at the right moment to announce the entrance of darkness, our inner strength should be capable to deal with the dark and sad period established. Remember to say your loved ones: you are gorgeous; I get a smile like a child when I see you right away; and I love to see your success, which has inspired me to be the best version of myself, in order to be able to be at your side as the one. Love and ...
