  As the last Buddha Siddhartha Gautama, the enlightened one, has taught us through his teachings concerning how we deal with suffering and the negative consequences of it, which is related to how we perceive the environment we’re inserted into and everything in our surroundings, we need to keep ourselves in the present moment, being conscious of what happens both within and before us. Such a fundamental conscious posture implies becoming the king or queen of our personal reign we call mind, ruling it through a knowledge- and evidence-based regime instead of a belief- and slavery-based one. There’s no acceptance without understanding, and it cannot ever be, as understanding of what we do and experience is an essential pillar of our own existence that is carved on stone.
