Even in the eminence of a thunderstorm, which may have the power to disturb the self the moment we step into a period of suffering, we can still cultivate [deep inside] the beauty of life anytime, and anywhere. Life is still kicking in no matter the circumstances, and no matter the challenges we are facing in the present moment. Buddha, the enlightened one, always says in his teachings in a direct [or indirect] way that the most precious thing we would have contact with through our entire life is right within the self. The moment we realise what such a thing is, it is the moment we understand what the path towards a meaningful life means within our own perspective and relativity.
I could not say to you, or anyone else, what steps to follow within the perspective and relativity of the self, as the only one who has access to privileged knowledge, which is required to make such a decision, is who is trying to walk. We could not judge another, or even make assumptions driving the self to pass a sentence about what we think another should do with his/her life, as he/she is on the outside of our sphere of influence, no matter what we think about the subject. We are free to live our own life, and to make decisions with little or no influence of another, as imprinted within our love nature.
While we are performing our mind training we could see, clearly, the influence of our consciousness within the behaviour we are experiencing in the present moment. Such a clarity of mind enables us to realise the extension and the potential of the power of the mind, and how beneficial it is to the self, mainly in the moments we are stepping into periods of suffering. It does not mean by learning how to use our consciousness we would become perfect creatures. It means we are able to activate a wonderful feature associated with our love nature, which allows the extraction of knowledge from any situation, periods of suffering included.
The presence of thunderstorms becomes manageable. The consequences of the chaos generated by the negativity we have contact with could be identified, observed, and analysed as part of the understanding we get from what we have experienced.
The moment we realise how beautiful is the uniqueness of the self, it is the moment we start to appreciate what we have inside, stepping into our personal evolution, and walking the path of a meaningful life that makes surpassing our own limits a trace of our own existence.
