The world of suffering is a place we enter alone, opening a door to experience negativity and the outcomes resulting from its cultivation. It is a place smelling loneliness, where illusions fabricated by the negative conditioning of our unconscious mind helps little or nothing the enhancement of the self. While in suffering, achieving consciousness is a fundamental state, supporting the realisation of the need to step out of such an awful illusory world as soon as we can. By obtaining the knowledge we seek on the observation and understanding of the dark side of suffering, we enable the enhancement of the self to complete another wonderful step that offers the clarity of mind about the non-judgemental core of inner peace. The more we realise the vivid presence of impermanence, and its relationship with anything related to suffering, the more we understand a non-judgemental attitude implies that all judgement we pass to the self are useless when related to the past, and wonderful the moment they are the decisions themselves we take in the present moment.

The moment we talk about non-judgemental attitudes we may associate the absence of any kind of judgement related to situations we experience in the path of our life journey. The association is not exactly characterised by the absence of judgement but the absence of negative criticism related to decisions we have made in our past experiences. Past experiences are a huge source of knowledge to understand the surroundings, the self, the relationship among them, and the orchestration of our life events in the middle of the impermanent universe we live in. Negative criticism, and its associated judgements, helps little or nothing regarding the enhancement of the self to deal with challenges we have to face in the present moment. We compare what cannot be compared, expect what cannot be expected, believe what cannot be believed, and diminish what has to be enforced.

Instead of getting inside the illusory world of suffering, within a deep loop of negativity that is only able to feed a bad criticism and judgement we pass to our self, it is much more productive if we use our suffering and past experiences as oracles to our own existence. The moment we start extracting knowledge from the past, it is the moment negative criticism is diminished, and the associated judgement becomes disposable.

A non-judgemental attitude is then represented by decisions we make in the present moment, which are judgements we perform to support our current actions, with no negative criticism involved. The moment we realise non-judgemental attitudes involve the absence of negative criticism, it is the moment we understand judging the self is nothing more than making decisions in the path of our life journey.
