The conditioning of suffering does what the picture represents very well: it blinds us to the fact there is something out there but we are not allowed to see our touch. The moment we try to see our eyes get covered, and the moment we try to touch our hands get striked and marked with the same blocking material covering our eyes. It is by using our consciousness that we can free ourselves from that unconscious and conditioned prison, realising external judgement may be harsh and discriminatory but our own understanding carries the power of liberty, freeing the self from the slavery of negativity, and vanishing the inability to see the awesomeness deep inside.

Let us look deep inside and ask the self: what is the purpose of a discriminatory act? What is the purpose of a negative criticism? What is the purpose of labeling someone with a negative classification? What is the purpose of observing the behaviour of another instead of our own behaviour? If we start a reasoning process, with consciousness at hand, we could find a wonderful answer that points to a similar conclusion for all of the aforementioned questions.

Buddha, the enlightened one, has realised that trying to open the eyes of someone else to tap into his/her consciousness is like putting a boat on the water, with no crew or autonomous control, and expecting it would reach its destination smoothly. We cannot predict the boat would reach its destination, and what course such a boat would engage during its journey. The only thing we are certain of is that the flow of water would command that boat, and no matter what we try to do, we are not allowed to carve, or restrict, the path, the strength, the direction, and the intentions of such a flow. A person has to step out of suffering by his/her own efforts. It means discrimination, racism, negative criticism, the violation of human rights would no end with bare punishment. It would never work, and it would only promote the creation of more separated groups, disjointed societies with goals of crushing one another at some point in history.

Through the use of education we can understand respecting the fundamental rights of one another is not an obligation, it is the right thing to do no matter the circumstances. Religious freedom, and the liberty of the self, has the foundation on education. Different religions and different societies can share the same environment in harmony, with no need of trying to dominate the space of one another. Christians, Protestants, Hindus, Buddhists, Freemasons, and any other religion or society can live together, in peace, respecting each other, with no need of deceiving, discriminating, spying, controlling, splitting, or trying to change the cultural treasure of one another.

The moment we realise there is no religion or society that is better than the other, it is the moment we understand why respecting the differences, and promoting the enhancement of the self through the dissemination of our love nature, is the foundation to achieve global peace.
