We may think the top of the mountain is too far away but it is right here, right now, at our own perspective and relativity at the present moment. We may think it is too difficult to reach such a place with colours in the air, a peaceful environment to practise our mind training. We may think an isolated environment is the only way to enhance our inner peace, to tap into the nature of love we have inside. The moment we get conscious to diminish the illusion we have created about the perfect place to live in, it is the moment we perform our mind training to transform any place we go into a place we acquire knowledge from, generating happiness and love within and towards others.

Let us think about different ways to achieve inner peace. We may find out a lot of different methods to do exactly the same thing: mind training. How we perform our mind training, and what the results we expect from it, is a personal matter, a unique bound between our mind and the live vessel we walk into this world called Earth. Buddha has already transmitted the knowledge that says to understand what we have faith rather than have faith with no understanding. That wonderful knowledge says we have to try by ourselves any teaching affecting our way of life, ourselves as individuals, members of a huge community called humanity. It means we have to be conscious about what we are doing, and what variations we are applying to an ancient knowledge, enabling it to fit our current perspective and relativity.

The top of the mountain is established at the place we get our consciousness awakened, understanding ourselves, the surroundings, the related behaviours, and all the intentions associated with everything around, no matter if those intentions are positive or negative. By understanding life at the present moment we open up a huge hidden box within ourselves, a box filled with the most powerful and ancient relics we have at our disposal: the knowledge about ourselves and the consciousness about our weaknesses and strengths, which can be used in the boost of our mind training, protecting the self during the lifejourney walk towards the light.

Where is the light? How could we be sure it is the right direction? One may ask. Let us think about those questions with non-judgemental thoughts. Let us think about what we have already achieved, and what we would like to improve within ourselves. Let us think what inner peace means to us, and what benefits we get from being in such a wonderful state. Let us think about the questions we have uncovered and the answers we have already obtained.

The moment we realise the journey required to find any answer we seek starts from the inside, it is the moment we understand why seeing the top of the mountain too far away is an illusion, which is fabricated to justify our inability to get out of suffering by our own efforts.
