The moment we see a street with water we know we have to pay attention in each step we do, preventing us from slipping, falling down, or getting hurt. If we do not pay attention we may end up on the ground. Facing negativity is similar to walking on a street with water, we have to pay attention in every step we do, being aware about what is in the surroundings. The moment we realise the source of darkness in everything we face, it is the moment we recognise the presence of water on the street.

If I ask you to get on balance on a street with water, or even on a road full of ice, it could be more difficult to do so without preparation to face the challenges imposed by the environment. The first challenge is the act of being on balance itself, as it could be the first time we are about to do so. The second challenge is the environment conditions. Water on the street, ice on the road, a “friend” pushing and polling us back and forward, rain, snow, anything that turns the act of getting on balance more difficult. The third challenge may be our fears, our negative emotions rising within, disturbing our inner peace, resonating and propagating the negative energy throughout our body, dictating the unbalance of negative and positive forces just happening at the present moment. As we can see, there are many challenges we have to overcome in a very simple task, which requires our consciousness to be at our disposal.

Consciousness is the root of the power we manifest through our mind. It is with consciousness we know what we are facing. It is with consciousness we are soft and gentle with ourselves, no matter whether the task we are performing ends up in a successful outcome. It is with consciousness we decide not to embrace darkness, being open to the power of love, the positive energy from the light. It is with consciousness we realise no matter how hard it is our journey, there is always something positive to learn from it.

We may think our journey could be easier, with little or no challenges to overcome. We may think we deserve a more peaceful path, with little or no need of facing negativity, unpleasant situations, obnoxious people. It would be so much relaxed, one may think.

The moment we realise the great challenge we have to face is from within, it is the moment we start to balance positive and negative charges, creating a state of cancelation that appears to be empty, not because there is nothing but because emptiness promotes peace of mind to see a challenge as an opportunity of learning and understanding.
