Nothing is too big to deal with, and nothing is too small to be mistaken as something with no value. It is always a matter of perspective. It is always a matter of genuine motivation. It is always a matter of surpassing our own limits. It is always a matter of understanding not faith. Many could try and fall but what is suffering for a conscious mind? We would never know if we do not try.
What is understanding? One may ask. It is a wonderful question, indeed. To realise what understanding is, let us think what faith is. Think about two related words: believe and trust. Do we believe in what we trust? Or do we trust in what we believe? The answers of those questions require something we are interested to know the meaning of. Do we trust in what we understand? Or do we understand everything we trust? What a huge bag of questions to make a reason for. Let us reflect a little bit more: Do we understand what we have faith for? Or do we have faith in everything we understand? It is indeed something we have to think about, getting a clear view by ourselves.
Let me try to put some clearance in our reflections. Imagine we are on the top of a mountain, walking blindfolded, close to the edge of a cliff. Someone says we could keep walking around with no worries about the cliff. We have no training in walking blindfolded, and no skills to compensate for the absence of our vision. In that situation, if we keep walking around, do we have faith or understanding? If we fall to the cliff, who has made the decision? Is it someone else’s fault we have decided to keep walking around?
Let us think about the word influence. Do we get influenced by what we have faith for? Or do we have faith in everything capable of influencing ourselves?
What we need to answer all of the aforementioned questions, is what we would like to know the meaning of.
I think I get the meaning. One may say. Awesome! The moment we realise the meaning about what we are looking for, it is the moment we know what being conscious is all about.
