The word supporting the acquisition of knowledge about the self, and the scene we are just experiencing, is Investigation. We need to investigate our own life path in order to answer a simple question about any outcome we have contact with: Why?...If we use a belief as an answer, we are just stepping into a period of suffering, feeding a conditioned illusion to our own mind. Such an illusion may imply believing in the existence of a mental health issue as the source of any difficulty we may experience in the present moment. If we are not able to write clearly in a piece of paper the why's about anything related to the self, we are just experiencing suffering, and believing we understand something we have no knowledge about.

If we ask a person "Why are you so beautiful?", could we expect a clear and concise answer about that? Maybe yes…Maybe not…It depends on the person who answers the question. Beauty is a characteristic we have been conditioned to observe on the outside, and each one of us has a unique standard about what beauty represents. The course of history shows discussions about the existence of internal and external beauty as independent concepts we may get aware of. Could we write a clear answer explaining why we have such a segregation between internal and external beauty? Let us think a little bit about that.

Buddha, the enlightened one, has recognised in his teachings our love nature as the beauty we have to cultivate, nurture, and manifest from the inside out. Such manifestation is supported by our kind and compassionate attitudes towards the self and others. In the Buddha's perspective and relativity, there is no segregation between internal and external beauty, as the only beauty that counts is the one representing our love nature. Was the Buddha's assumption correct? Could we explain why the Buddha's assumption is correct?

The moment we have answers to the questions we may be afraid to ask, it is the moment we understand why we need those answers to achieve higher levels of peace of mind.
