In the middle of the ocean we call life, our journey of living it is a singular duty. There is no option of transferring such a duty to someone else, who would get the charge of living our life on our behalf. We have to learn how to enhance our live vessel, in order to support the challenges presented during the progress of our life path. We have to learn how to navigate in different types of water, and in different environmental conditions, enabling the self to understand any difficulty our live vessel, or current navigation skills, are experiencing. The moment we get conscious about the magnitude of what we are facing, it is the moment we understand every pit stop is an opportunity for strengthening.

There is no better strategy than being conscious during our life journey. Being conscious represents the foundation of learning, the enabler for observing, analysing, and understanding what happens within the self and in the surroundings. Being conscious implies being awakened, getting our third eye wide open to the illusions we may have contact with, and experience during the process. Sometimes our live vessel, and our navigation skills, do not get prepared for the challenges we are facing, implying the needs of defensive manoeuvres to preserve the integrity of the self as a whole.

During the moments of difficulties, mostly the ones we step into periods of suffering, consciousness is the only hope to get us out of the current situation and illusions we are experiencing. There is no other way to understand our own suffering than through our conscious mind. It is an ancient knowledge that Buddha, the enlightened one, has already disseminated in his teachings.

The more we learn to acquire knowledge from any experience we have in life, and from any other source of knowledge we have contact with, the more we master the skills required for our personal journey. We observe…we analyse…and we understand that nothing we experience within is equal to anything on the outside, and that is the jewel guiding us towards peace of mind.
