The moment we reach a point where we are certain about a local event we are experiencing, which represents the observation of the self in a conscious way, it is the moment we step a little bit further towards peace of mind. We may be walking through a dark environment but we are capable of facing anything from the outside; nothing is able to diminish the light we are capable of generating within, and everything becomes knowledge we may use in our favour. It does not represent a magical moment when everything turns blue, but the clarity of mind required to face darkness, anywhere, any time, and at any circumstances.

We have to remember that acquisition of knowledge is the foundation to support every decision we make during the course of our own path. When we are experiencing a state of mind that knowledge does not represent the foundation of our decisions, it is clear as crystal we are experiencing a period of suffering. In such periods, decisions are replaced by acts of following negative conditioning that our unconscious mind has been subjected to. We do not think about what we are doing…we just do. The importance of the question "why" highlights itself at those moments where the unconscious mind is on the driver's seat.

If we perform an action, we have to know why. If we are expressing an opinion, we have to know why. If we are performing any classification, we have to know why. Even when we are observing the self as part of our mind training, we also have to know why. The "why" question is the key to reach the gold hidden somewhere on our rainbow path. And the question "why" is the foundation of Buddha's teachings, which the answer that matters most is the one we acquire within our own perspective and relativity.

The moment we realise the crucial "whys" that we have to answer within our own perspective and relativity, it is the moment we are able to see the rainbow path through our third eye.
