It is in silence we realise the more we observe, the less we get worried about the future. The moment we understand and decide our position, it is the moment the outer may react accordingly but the inner remains at peace. The silence is, indeed, delightful.

Like a wonderful afternoon with a book to read and a warm tea to drink, it is time to incorporate the control we have about ourselves, our actions, our behaviours, our present moment. By using our consciousness we are able to realise we are always in control, even if by our own experiences we may believe, out of understanding, we are not. The control we have about the self walks hand-to-hand with hidden rules establishing an honour code, which the base is that we must never, by any means or circumstances, plot, plan, or even execute, any kind of action behind the back of a person, if such an action has the intention to harm, physically or psychologically. We all know that harming others intentionally is an act derived from states of suffering, but we have the power to prevent our mind from entering those states.

A code of honour does not care if we are rich or poor, old or young, tall or short, man or woman. Honour is something we have or we have not, no matter any other characteristic we possess. It does not mean we cannot change and step out of a state of suffering. It means if an act of dishonour is carried against someone else, anyone else, no matter the relationship established, is considered disposable at the eyes of a suffering creature. There is no fairness in dishonour but the sense of the strong and the weak, where the weak is usually considered an inferior creature, a slave to perform the dirty and heavy work, manipulated by the desires of the one considered ``strong”.

Honouring the self is being conscious that we have no reasons to let our unconscious mind take control of our actions, driven by negative emotions, even if we are in a situation or position discrimination is at place. The moment we realise that, it is the moment we start observing and understanding more about the self, and the triggers associated with the manifestation of negative emotions.

The moment we realise honour is one of the pillars of a conscious mind, and a meaningful life, it is the moment we understand acting with no honour is acting while suffering.
