Buddha, the enlightened one, has disseminated wonderful teachings about the observation, analysis, and understanding of our own suffering as a way of liberation, freeing the self from negativity we may have incorporated deep inside. It is by using our consciousness, and the unlimited power of the mind capable of achieving a peaceful state as a foundation of its manifestation, that we can observe the self and the surroundings in an inquisitive and non-judgemental attitude. The moment we use our consciousness to observe, analyse, and understand the fabrications and illusions we have contact with, it is the moment we understand the unlimited power we have at hand, and why performing our mind training is the right way for achieving peace of mind.

Achieving peace of mind is part of the process for enhancing the self, while walking the path towards a meaningful life. Such achievement is neither an easy task nor a permanent result. It is, indeed, something we have to keep practising, reaching a new and higher level every time we step into our own personal evolution. Peace of mind comes with the understanding about what we are dealing with in the present moment, resulting in acquiring the knowledge required to rule our mind, while keeping the manifestation of emotions under control.

Love can only be fully experienced while our mind is at peace. Hate can only be understood while our consciousness is ruling the mind for controlling the manifestation of negative emotions. Suffering can only be observed, analysed, and understood through the establishment of a peaceful state of mind, which creates a shield against negative conditioning influencing the actions of the unconscious mind, as extracted from the wonderful teachings of Buddha.

The idea of self-enhancement does not come free of charge, but it results in the evolution of the species by our own personal efforts to become the best versions of ourselves at our own pace.

The moment we realise there is nothing more powerful than our own mind, it is the moment we understand why understanding suffering is not the end but the middle of understanding life itself.
