Knowledge. The source of power and wealth that depends only on the self to acquire. Knowledge is the key to open many internal doors closed by centuries of negative conditioning, centuries of degradation of the unlimited potential we have the capability to unleash. With knowledge we get prepared to face or do anything, and that is why achieving peace of mind depends on acquiring knowledge as much as we can about life itself.
There are many sources of knowledge we can access in order to enhance the self. The ancient knowledge, the source of teachings that Buddha—-the enlightened one—-has left, is one of them. With knowledge we have capability to access and create tools required to face challenges and difficulties life presents to us. It is also through the use of knowledge we can make the self step out of suffering, diminishing the illusions promoted by the negative conditioning we are subjected to.
The moment we decide to enter the path of acquiring knowledge, the awareness of what comes to the surroundings has to be vivid. “There is no free lunch” on anything we do in life, and darkness would be present during the journey of knowledge acquisition, mainly when we have less resources to establish a physical place we can enter to secure our total privacy, in order to stay in isolation for a while.
Negative conditioning and suffering are everywhere, and besides dealing with our own suffering, it may also be required to deal with another’s suffering, and its related manifestation. In that moment, we need kindness, compassion, and peace of mind cultivated through our body and mind training. Diminishing our own suffering increases our capability to deal with anything coming from the outside.
When knowledge is acquired, cultivated, nurtured, and generated within, no matter what we are facing, we have the power to become the superhero of our own existence.
