There is no problem if, sometimes, we take a break to rest consciously. While resting a bit we are actually performing our body and mind training, relaxing our live vessel and letting the mind free from any pressing concerns. The more we understand how to use our consciousness, the more we can take advantage of the benefits it brings to the self.

There is a huge difference between getting down, with no motivation to do anything at all, or staying consciously at a quiet state to rest a bit before facing any challenge life presents to us. While experiencing suffering implies lowering our motivation a bit, using our consciousness does exactly the opposite. Suffering does not stand a chance against a recharged mind, clean, at peace, and ready to observe, analyse, and understand the present moment.

We need to be soft to ourselves, recognising the possibility of pausing a bit, no matter if it looks like a period of suffering from the outside. What matters most is being conscious of what we do, and being certain about the path we are walking. Any path we enrol in would present challenges or any kind of difficulty we have to deal with. There is “no free lunch”, even when the illusion promoted by darkness, which is usually fabricated on top of luxury, says so.

The moment we realise how to use our conscious mind properly and accordingly, it is the moment we understand the unlimited power it can unleash at a peaceful state.
