The city; the community; the home of millions of lives. The design, the organisation, and the infrastructure reflect the economy, the development of that place. It can be a beautiful reflection, full of colours, easy to travel, a piece of art created by modern architecture and engineering. Those beautiful cities have our admiration.

For each one of the millions of lives, a different and unique story. A singular perspective to tell us a description about the city based on a day-to-day observation; an inside view. We expect a good one.

While we see the beauty of a well-developed, economically advanced city, we have the tendency to forget the social problems, to close the eyes to the people around.

What about empathy? Do you know what empathy means? Have you practised empathy recently?

Empathy is a virtual way we have found to put ourselves on the shoes of another person, in the attempt to understand his/her view/perspective about a specific subject. By the wise use of empathy we may create a mental model to draw a hypothesis about a person's view/perspective, which may help us in our daily practise of love and compassion, i.e., to spread kindness towards others.

Think about the last time you have used empathy. That obnoxious people around, that one you have hard times to deal with, have you put yourself into his/her place? To do that it doesn't mean you agree with his/her actions, but you may draw a good hypothesis, which may help you to be more kind and compassionate on awful situations. Instead of stress yourself out, give it a try.

By the use of empathy you save your time and energy, which can be utilised to spread happiness, to love more, to fight less, and to save lives all around your sphere of influence.
