Look to my face. I am getting old each second of the life I live. Each instant of time passed, my experience grows. Tell me what happens with modern society, the study of ancient knowledge, and ancient practises. Please, explain to me in a proper scientific foundation, with all the evidences and proofs supported by the use of mathematics. As I have said, I am getting old but not brainless.

When we face a negative situation the approach is clear: we must deal with it. We must face it with love, kindness, and compassion. With an open heart and courage required to change the expected outcome. We can do that by ourselves, as it is shown in ancient knowledge about mind training; a kind of training which is object of study and theme for a bunch of research papers in the last decades.

Buddha has spread out the knowledge about the experience and observation of suffering, which is fundamental to understand how we could get rid of it; how we could get out of our own samsara’s bubble. The knowledge is so ancient and so actual at the same time, which it states its own paradox: how could something be old and new at the same time? The only reasonable answer for such a dilemma is our capacity to forget what, by some reasons, has no interest to the actual practises.

It is not difficult to read and to hear everywhere about the difference of theory and practise. To read and to hear discussion and discrimination from both sides. When we read about suffering we are within a theoretical perspective. We are not able to experience what has been described by, e.g., Buddha himself. When we experience suffering we enter in a practical perspective, where we can use our conscious mind to validate what the ancient knowledge has described about a specific aspect of suffering [if described]. We can do our own investigation, at our own pace, to accept or reject, empirically, ancient texts. The first step to advance our personal experience to a scientific study is established. Another person cannot describe our perspective by the simple reason that such perspective is unique, and personal.

In the field of relativity we may have the same event observed by two different perspectives, which may imply the drawing of similar conclusions. However, each perspective is unique, even if they have something in common.

Ancient knowledge about mind training shares the same principle of relativity,  and it has the advantage to be millennial; It has been experienced and described thousand years ago. We can learn from that knowledge to use it to our own favour. The moment we experience a similar event, we could practise what has been recommended by millennial cultures to see if we can reach similar conclusions. That is why we need to practise mind training in order to find our own path out of the darkness, in direction of the light.

Have a wonderful week, full of achievements.
