There is always a window to reach the light, illuminating our astonishing live vessel. There is always a way to step out of suffering, putting aside any negativity promoted by darkness all along. There is always a piece of knowledge we need to learn, and a part of the scene we have no clear view of. What is coming from the shadows may be uncertain but the power we have inside is clear, unlimited, and aligned with the meaningful way to live a life. That is what makes caring about life something that has no colour, religion, social class, gender, or any other characteristic used for segregation.
We get used to segregating since the beginning of time. We segregate our personal life, the tasks we need to perform, the activities we would like to enrol in, the ones we get close to, or even the food we consume every single day. When we observe life from a very simple perspective, we spend most of our time segregating things. There is no negativity associated with it when discrimination is out of the table, as it would be extremely difficult to deal with everything at the same time. Segregating is part of the process to enhance our focus on the present moment.
The issue associated with our natural need for segregation has got introduced when it was extended to perform discriminatory acts, discriminating whom is not following or involved with the same beliefs, ideas, mindset, diet, or even characteristics we have born with such as the skin colour. As a consequence, we have to deal with the presence of movements such as Nazism, Facism, NeoNazism, NeoFacism, and any other group based on segregation through discrimination. There is a word, which is usually associated with religion, representing the intolerance of not practising, following, or being related to the same path that has been characterising a group: profane. From the Cambridge Dictionary [1], two definitions of the word profane are presented as follows: (1) "showing no respect for a god or a religion, often through language"; (2) "not relating to religion or spiritual matters".
Is profane representing a bad behaviour or a bad thing? The answer depends on the scene or the action being performed. If a person is offending another religion/group, manifesting suffering towards others, it represents a bad thing. However, anyone or anything can have no relation with a given religion or group, which may characterise the classification of profane, and it cannot be considered a bad thing. Anyone is free to follow anything a person would like to follow. The issue becomes when suffering gets on the table.
Profane or not, the word represents just another way to segregate that we could avoid if used as a foundation for discrimination.
The moment we realise we are unique but can live together and in harmony, it is the moment we understand we are all beautiful creatures of light, connected by the unconditional love we are able to cultivate, nurture, and manifest from the inside out.
