Following our own path is a duty we have to embrace completely, certain that any challenge presented to us has to be dealt with in a conscious and meaningful way. The moment we step out of our conscious state, letting our unconscious mind to be in the driver’s seat, we may lose the view of our third eye, which implies falling down into a trap of the illusions we are subjected to. Remaining conscious, which implies the impermanent duty of stepping out of negative conditioning, is the way to enhance the self and achieve higher and peaceful states of mind.
Buddha, the enlightened one, has provided wonderful teachings about the benefits of keeping consciousness at hand, and one important characteristic is keeping practising, and performing our mind training. The more we perform our mind training, the more we are able to apply its results during our daily activities. Such applicability is the way to adapt the self to the environment we are inserted into, considering that fine tuning how we interact to the outside would bring improvements to the cultivation and nurture of our love nature. Adapting to embrace suffering, and an acceptance with little or no understanding is useless.
The moment we start adapting in a conscious and meaningful way, we also start to recognise the need to be non-judgemental and soft both with the self and others. One important thing is that the definition of soft depends on the environment we are inserted into, implying an adjustment of our source of light to shine stronger and brighter.
The moment we realise adaptation is part of our performed training, it is the moment we understand why the nature of the universe is impermanent.
