Even when we are facing difficulties imposed by another, where the source is on the outside, out of our control, giving up is never an option to deal with a period of suffering, and the misuse of the higher intelligence we are capable of utilising. Walking away could be a possibility of consideration when we get prepared to face anything from the outside that involves more than only mind training, implying being prepared to hold the suffering of another that could cause harm to the self at some sort. Unfortunately, there are situations where we are powerless against the madness of a conditioned mind, mainly when such a mind is full of resources. The only thing we can do is enhancing the self, and getting wiser and stronger by cultivating a peaceful state of mind required to access the unlimited power we have inside.
When we are facing a situation where the control is out of our hands, we have no choice but observe, analyse, and understand the pros and cons of what happens in the present moment. The most difficult part is realising we could predict a lot of possibilities related to the next steps of an escalated chaotic situation, but we have to wait for a clear presentation of one of those possibilities, or another we have not accounted for, to take action towards the maintenance of our peace of mind.
Another important point that requires attention of our mind training is understanding all techniques we develop on our own, which are specific to deal with our own suffering, could be utilised for bad and deceptive actions against an untrained, and unprepared mind. That is why we need wisdom to use intelligence, stepping out of suffering to understand the huge power we may possess in our bare hands. Buddha, the enlightened one, indicates [indirectly] that important concern in his teachings, which is evidenced by the teaching related to the view of trust within our own perspective, and relativity.
Difficulties originated on the outside are powerless in the task of disturbing our peace of mind the moment we get prepared to face them. The more we get disturbed by anything from the outside, the more we need enhancements in our mind training, understanding the extension of our control, and the limitations of our influence on an external source. Instead of grasping the need of external control, we could perform mind training to exercise the inversion of it. If we have no control of something, and we are getting disturbed by that condition, it is easier to enhance the control of the self within our own perspective and relativity.
The moment we realise peace of mind is acquired one step at a time, it is the moment we understand such a state is not achieved by an on/off switch within the self.
