The race of life is what it is. It is not a competition but an individual journey separated by the boundaries of the self. Each one of us performs our own mind training, with our own strategy required to face challenges at the present moment. The environment, the challenges, the pressure, the mindset, the observation, the analysis, the understanding, the combination of everything results in a unique formula to deal with darkness. Each formula has better results for a set of challenges and specific environment conditions, in a similar way a runner does not use the same preparation to face races with different distances. The secret is not in the isolated parts, in neither theory nor practise alone, but the combination that makes us adaptive creatures, capable of creating formulas to deal with darkness at our own perspective and relativity.
If you think you are not able to face the challenges you are experiencing at the present moment, I suggest you to think twice. We are the masters of our mind, and each one of us is the only person capable of facing such challenges. We have to perform mind training, indeed, but it is up to us to realise what kind of mind training we need, and which characteristic of the self requires either development or enhancement. There is no other person able to live at our own perspective and relativity.
We may guide our actions according to the teachings of Buddha, but we have the rights to accept or reject such teachings based on our own experience obtained by observation, investigation, analysis, and understanding of our own perspective and relativity. It is, in summary, what Buddha himself has applied to extract the beautiful lessons disseminated worldwide.
If you think you are not capable of doing the same as Buddha, you are putting yourself in a vulnerable position, deep inside a state of suffering full of fear and negativity. Are people not fair? Good, you have the opportunity to observe what unfairness looks like at your own perspective. Are people dishonoured, acting on your back all the time? Good, you have the opportunity to observe what dishonour looks like at your own perspective. Are you becoming a person that is dishonoured, acting with no fairness? You are still in a state of suffering, with your third eye closed to the fact you are in control of your own life.
The moment we realise we have to enhance the self, embracing the impermanence of the universe to change the way we deal with the charges of negative energy we are exposed all around, it is the moment we gain consciousness about the present moment, which means we have already started to face the presented challenges. Consciousness is what bound us all.
