The imitation game. We go up on the top of a mountain in the search of silence. In the search of a quiet environment to meditate and to reach our inner peace. An environment with a characteristic we try to imitate on our crazy running daily life: silence.
The imitation game is quite obvious in the society we live, and sometimes it is required to survive within a negative environment. We have to imitate aspects of either desired or undesired situations in order to perform our practise; our mind training required to investigate and analyse what is going on in the surroundings. We must be conscious the imitation game is dangerous, as we may get contaminated by negativity and all feelings of fear, sadness, anger, and frustration altogether.
To cope with negativity and the destruction it may cause to our inner peace, we have to become our controlled negative version. The worst version of ourselves that must be observed by our conscious mind. To help us in that personal social experiment, we require [with pleasure] experience dealing with obnoxious people.
We must do the experiment alone, and in the privacy of our home, or in an isolated place such as the mountain in the picture. When we let negativity come into our brain, stimulated by the actions we have experienced while in the presence of obnoxious people, we are capable to understand why the worst version of ourselves emerges, and what is the source that stimulates our brain to make our behaviour so negative. We do it in silence, as we are in a walk meditation session.
The moment we finish the experiment is the moment we realise the source of suffering. The source of our frustration and feelings of insatisfaction.
We realise we need to meditate in silence. We need to be kind as much as possible. We need to be comprehensive with the same obnoxious people that have helped us in our personal social experiment. They are human beings as we are, and they are prone to experience the same feelings we have experienced in our experiment.
Be gentle. Be kind. Be brave. Be conscious.
