The capability to create a family, and to raise a new life to this world is something precious, and no one, by any circumstances, has the rights to decide whom can or whom cannot build a family. The protection of family is a fundamental human right, and to act with love and compassion attitude is to diminish discrimination, which may difficult the establishment of a family.
From the Universal Declaration of Human Rights:
Article 12: “No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks”.
Article 16: “(1) Men and women of full age, without any limitation due to race, nationality or religion, have the right to marry and to found a family. They are entitled to equal rights as to marriage, during marriage and at its dissolution”.
We have the protection we need from the United Nations to build a family. Discrimination is something present but we have to train our mind to deal with it. We have to look to the past, put aside the negativity, and be present as kind as possible with everyone else, obnoxious people included.
To build a family is to establish the foundations required to put a new life into this world. A life full of dreams; a life full of potential; a life to be trained by love instead of hatred; a life that carries the genes of past generations.
The family we seek is the foundation of a beautiful and meaningful life. It is by love we find what we are in the search for.
