When we are inserted into an environment where chaos is dominant, we have to be conscious of what happens in the surroundings. We have to be aware of the fact that we need to be conscious and alert. Everytime we step into a period of suffering, or are consciously more relaxed within a chaotic environment, there is a chance we would face a surprise from darkness. It is the metaphor of a backpacker when dealing with a harsh environment. The backpacker puts things essential to survival in a sack, implying a preparation to face any environmental configuration. There are only two moments a backpacker leaves a sack behind: when at a safehouse, or when knowing in the present moment that survival is not dependent on what is inside the sack.


Facing darkness and harsh environmental conditions need preparation. Preparation of body and mind in order to deal with challenges and difficulties, both physically and mentally. Preparation to know which kind of tools we need to put into our chain-of-custody. Preparation to know that we have to be ready to work with no external support when conditions of the environment become more challenging, relying on the power of the mind to keep a peaceful state no matter the circumstances.


Our essential and invisible sack is full of kindness, compassion, and non-judgemental attitude towards the self and others. Those are what is essential to survive a dark and negative scene dominated by hatred culture. Materialising it to our daily activities implies the use of a real sack, where we put things we need for surviving the work we perform every single day. A laptop, a notebook, a camera, a meal, or anything we would need. Therefore, we are ready to face any challenge life may present to us in the present moment, regarding the activities we need to perform every single day.


The moment we realise that, it is the moment we understand we need to carry on our invisible sack only when facing the negative conditioning we have contact with. The real sack, the one we use to carry on material things, is just needed if, and only if, essential for surviving the environment we are inserted into in the present moment. No more, no less.
