If everyone treats you like a fool and you notice it, there is a higher probability you will get angry and sad, eventually. I am not asking you to not get angry and sad. I am saying to you getting angry and sad will solve nothing. Instead, be kind. Kindness is a quality of a wise person. At the moment you start to be kind with someone that treats you like a fool, you become wise.

We have to remember the simple rule of being master of the mind: we are not able to control another. It is one of the foundations of every Buddha's teachings, and what makes us understand why we have to be kind, as much as possible, no matter the circumstances.

Unfortunately, when someone starts being obnoxious, and treating another like a fool, no matter the bunch of reasons such a person may have to act aside from our love nature, we can usually think about the following questions: Is a person urging for control over the actions of another someone we need to worry about? Is a person using no matter the amount of resources to declare him/herself in power and control, showing no explanations or exposition of knowledge to promote wonderful moments of exchange and discussions, someone we need to worry about? We can use the same answer for both questions: it depends on the outcome such a person may try to impose.

We have no reason to worry about what a person thinks or wants, instead it has the power to harm the self or another, directly or indirectly. Every person is free to speak or do anything they desire, and anything another person produces is out of our business. However, the moment the actions of another have the power to harm, which is against our love nature, we have to be prepared for self-defence if it requires too. That is the reason education is the foundation for body and mind training. That is the reason knowledge represents an unlimited amount of power we have at hand, which enables the self to achieve higher levels of peace of mind, sometimes beyond our own comprehension.

It is ancient knowledge not starting physical contact with another no matter the state of mind we are. However, sometimes, we need to experience the ancient teachings to establish a proper understanding about what every single word means within the context of our own perspective and relativity. The reason we have to get prepared to defend the self, and another not able to do so, is not because we have to, but it is because we may need to.

Having full control of the self represents being prepared for anything coming into our direction, no matter the reason, the intentions, or the circumstances. We may appear to be lazy, but the truth is, as a wise mind, we give the opportunity to the self, or another, to understand suffering, eventually. If such understanding has not been reached, we are conscious to get prepared to hold on the blow until balance is again established. That is the way of the love nature we have inside.
