Continue your daily path. If you have difficulties with your work, family, or even in a relationship, do not be afraid. Analyse each situation as impartial as you can. Breathe. Think. Decide. Do what you think is right. Remember just one important thing: do not cause harm to either yourself or someone else. At the end, you realise the control of your life is yours, entirely.
The control is always ours but we may still be into the illusion we have been controlled by the environment we are inserted into. Embracing such an illusion is an easy-catch, considering the co-dependency between the individual and society. We may get the wrong idea that the laws imposed to live in society are restrictions established to perform negative conditioning of individuals. In some sort such laws may do that, eventually. However, most of the laws describe situations aside from our love nature, situations where more and more individuals have started to embrace, stepping into periods of suffering causing harm to the self and someone else. Therefore, as the result of the accumulation of negative conditioning, and the growing of embracing suffering all around, the negativity has to be contained in some way.
It would be much easier if instead of creating laws, we all get conscious of the values we have imprinted, which define our love nature. Values of caring about life as the ultimate goal, cultivating and nurturing the capability we have to spread love from the inside out. Corruption would be diminished. Wars would be topics only present in history books. Happiness, love, compassion, and kindness would be observed here and there. Darkness would be in retraction while light in expansion.
If we exercise the power we have over the self through the use of our own consciousness, we may realise everything starts from within. That realisation puts the self into a position of full control, where the understanding about how to face darkness, and diminish its associated negativity, comes to the mind.
Buddha, the enlightened one, has had such realisation during the journey to understand his own suffering, disseminating such precious knowledge through his teachings. We can have the same realisation and control of the power we have inside, like Buddha has had.
Each one of us has challenges to face, and strategies to draw in order to succeed in walking the path towards a meaningful life. The duty of the walk is our, as well as its control.
