While we walk into life we make memories, which are part of our past. When we focus on the past memories, mainly on the negative ones, those memories transform themselves in an alternative reality. It doesn't mean we live on the past but we may try to change the present to avoid or meet those memories. It is like to walk into a special sand, where our footsteps never get erased.

Some persons focus on the past not only with their own experiences but with the experiences of others. They can't control themselves and their actions; they are almost lost on their own present but to find some kind of pleasure and satisfaction, a sensation of power towards others, they try to control someone else by force; a desire to put a target person back to the past; a present adjustment. They will never succeed.

The beauty of life is its impermanence. Its constant state of change we experience every single day. What you do in the past counts as lessons; good or bad experiences have something to teach us. We should learn those lessons and embrace the impermanence of life consciously. Every day we should wake up, review what we have done on the near past, and set our good intentions to the present; to reach a hidden goal everyone [unconsciously] have: to be the best version of ourselves every single day. A best person; a best father; a best mother; a best employee; a best citizen.

We tend to use success past histories as examples to help us walk our present moment, our here and now. We focus on the good moments but we forget success histories have failures too; and they are so important they were part of the path to achieve the success we disseminate and spread out. We are afraid of failures; we have difficulty to learn lessons from them; we just enter into a mode we put them aside.

We often forget what define us is the power we have to consciously learn lessons from our past experiences, and the past experiences of others. Those lessons help us shape our present; help us to achieve our best versions; help us to embrace the impermanence of life.

Put your focus on the present and your past will be a big lesson to learn, not a track to follow.
