Each one of us live with a kind of "limited" consciousness of reality. We have no physical capabilities to be in more than one place at the same instant of time [thanks the deeper explanation to Albert Einstein and his theory of relativity]. It makes us susceptible to be within a samsara's bubble for a very long time.
We cannot be totally certain of events that happen outside our personal sphere of influence. We cannot be certain we have been deceived. We cannot be certain a person has taken advantage of us. We are just required to trust each other at some level.
When we put trust on another person, it is like to be in front of a door lock to see the "reality" such person has been shared with us. Until the door is unlocked, the picture of that "reality" is just an illusion, a dream we must not follow blindly. If we like the presented "reality", we work out to unlock the door. If not, we make a huge effort to distance ourselves from it. At both, when we realise the nature of events and the concept of reality itself, we get the full consciousness the reality we live is a unique experience, and it is, always, prone to the perspective of the observer. What we see through the lock is always an illusion. Sometimes we just wish it comes true.
