While facing darkness it’s important to be aware of the imitation game we have to deal with, in which the intention is poking the self together with a negative stimulation to make us get out of mind. We need to be brave, strong, and resilient while inserted into a deceptive environment, being soft to the self if we were not fully prepared to deal with obnoxious situations and (mainly) the negative stimulation we are subjected to, which are all part of the negative conditioning imposed. The more we keep consciousness at hand, using our third eye to observe the self and the surroundings, the more we understand the huge difference and tight relation between darkness and light.

It’s indeed a huge challenge we have to face. Darkness is the endless source of chaos and negativity we need to prevent the self of embracing. The moment we embrace such a source of negativity, it is the moment we lose control of our own mind, becoming a puppet to the negative conditioning we are subjected to, which is imposed by darkness itself. An endless loop of suffering, characterised by living enchanted by illusions we have contact with.

We need to be brave and strong in order to wake up, keeping consciousness at hand to enable the self to step out of our own suffering. We need to be resilient in order to understand that suffering is optional but it may happen. There is no perfect being that doesn’t suffer. It is the illusion of a belief created to keep the self into an infinite loop of suffering promoted by either luxury or misery. Buddha, the enlightened one, has experienced suffering for uncountable periods of time in order to understand its nature. The important thing is acquiring knowledge and achieving understanding of the periods of suffering we may experience. Anything else is just a mind trap to keep the self into a dormant state.

Let’s become the better version of the self every single day. If we cannot be the better version by any reason, let’s keep trying day after day. Becoming the ruler of our own mind requires discipline but also knowledge and wisdom.

The moment we realise where we are—and what we are capable of—while keeping consciousness at hand, it is the moment we understand who we are able to become. Just remember: we can become anything we would like to in a conscious and meaningful way.
