Walking through the beach of life, side by side with its associated ocean, can reveal a beautiful and astonishing insight about how easy it is to observe the waters when we are in a safe ground. We can observe and analyse what we are seeing but we cannot understand what is really happening within the waters, even if we get a good outside view of it. Therefore, the only way to deal with the challenges and difficulties present in the water is learning how to swim. The same happens with the mind. The only way to deal with our own suffering is learning how to rule our mind properly through mind training.

It is time to realise we need to learn how to rule our mind properly, even if we need help doing it. Learning by ourselves can be challenging although it is extremely beneficial to the self. However, learning with the help of someone can also be beneficial while the person gets not comfortable to step in the ocean of life, and dealing by herself/himself with the disturbances that challenges and difficulties may present in the present moment. The important thing is walking towards a conscious understanding of what living a life really represents.

Being non-judgemental, kind, and soft with ourselves and others while establishing direct contact is fundamental. The good strategy we can apply that is a game changer of dealing with our own suffering is keeping, as much as possible, any manifestation of any negative emotion derived from a period of suffering in a private domain, and alone with no one else in the same room, house, or apartment we are at the moment. It is within our own privacy, alone with our own suffering, that we can draw hypotheses to understand what has triggered the period of suffering we may be experiencing. Again, if a person is not comfortable doing it alone, it is OK to seek help to learn how to do it properly.

The moment we realise how to rule our own mind, it is the moment we understand that no matter the challenge or difficulty we are facing, we have an unlimited power at hand to deal with it in a conscious and meaningful way.
