From time to time we need to pass through a guided passage, in which the possibilities and directions are restricted, implying few options to make a decision. We can take advantage of those periods to enhance our observing and analytical skills, evaluating better what we have at hand, balancing the pros and cons related to each available option, and understanding all the consequences we are subjected to the moment we take a step towards the direction we have decided to head for. The peaceful state of mind we cultivate and nurture during our life path can be influenced by the priceless pieces of knowledge we may extract from such personal experience. As a beneficial consequence, wisdom overcomes, tames, rules, and controls intelligence in a peaceful and meaningful way.

There are moments when we lose control of our actions, letting negative conditioning dominate the scene and dictate the sequence of events  we are part of in the present moment. Sometimes we call it hothead, which is a noun indicating a person who lets emotions overcome reason, implying in periods of manifesting a bad temper towards the self and others. We show little control, even when we are doing skilled actions that require intelligence to perform. We have been conditioned.

The only way to break the loop of suffering we put ourselves in is through consciousness, peace of mind, and wisdom acquired until the present moment. It is important to develop intelligence to observe, learn, analyse, and understand the operational tasks we need to perform. However, it is essential to acquire wisdom to decide the right moment to do it, and how we do it in a meaningful way. A non-judgemental attitude, which can be translated as observing the scene through different angles before making a decision about what to do, is an example of wisdom rather than intelligence.

The moment we realise the benefits of ruling intelligence through wisdom, it is the moment we understand how to master our skills to tame the unlimited power we have at hand.
