Who does possess knowledge? How could we recognise and understand what knowledge really is? Is knowledge something accepted by the majority or mastered by a given person whether they have formal education? Those are extremely useful questions we can use to realise what knowledge really is and represents, implying the understanding of why knowledge is something unique we can acquire just by the simple fact of living our life consciously and meaningfully. The natives of a given land are full of knowledge. A caring mother is full of knowledge. An ancient person is a huge source of knowledge, and that is why knowledge is something no one can take away from us, no matter the circumstances.
Knowledge is power, and experiencing such a power depends only on our own motivation for doing so. It’s through the power of knowledge that we can realise and understand the difference between the illusions we’ve contact with from the clear and vivid reality we’re able to experience when keeping consciousness at hand.
When the fictional character of Adam, the prince of Eternia, or Adora, the kidnapped princess of the same reign, shouts: “By the power of Grayskull!”, or “For the honor of Grayskull!”, respectively; What do you think they are referring to? Do you think they’re referring to something no one knows the origins of? Or, on the contrary, do you think they’re referring to a huge source of knowledge that only few people have full knowledge of, implying in the transformation of a high born prince, or a kidnapped princess, into warriors in charge of defending the reign against the forces of evil? The metaphor behind those wonderful characters is crystal clear: Knowledge is indeed a huge source of power, and that is why Skeletor and Hordack, the villains of both He-Man and She-Ra tv series, are always eager to possess the knowledge the forces of good already possess.
In real life that metaphor is vivid and valid. The more knowledge we possess, the more power we acquire, and therefore, the more responsibilities we’ve at hand to face and deal with anything aside from our love nature. We may have no sword of power yet we can transform ourselves into an honoured warrior who cares about life as the ultimate goal, walking the path towards a meaningful life no matter the circumstances.
