When we see something that doesn’t seem to be right, what do we do? Do we start observing and analysing in order to attain understanding of what is before our naked eyes? Or do we simply ignore what happens and keep doing what we were doing? The answers for those aforementioned questions can tell if we’re either conscious of what happens in the present moment, or unconscious and conditioned to impositions, restraints, and restrictions we’re subjected to in the environment we’re inserted into. If we’re conscious, the probability of observing and acquiring knowledge from every single interaction we’ve is extremely high. On the other hand, if we’re unconscious, the probability of getting deceived and believing a big Tiger is a domestic cat we can explore, be entertained by, and torture as we please is also very high. When we realise what really happens in the present moment, we would be able to understand who we really are, and how unlimited the power we’ve deep within is.

When facing dishonoured, dishonest, and deceptive people, the goal of those people is always the same: the inversion of control and getting ourselves out of mind. If that goal cannot be easily attained, the complementary tactic is spreading fake news and distorting facts until they become absolute truths. That tactic and related behaviour is ancient, present in the very narrow concept of civilisation almost since the beginning. The greed of human beings has led us towards a belief—whether it’s false—that everyone accepts a much more powerful argument than a hard truth people have difficulty to observe, analyse, and understand. That mindset is behind, e.g., human and animal sacrifices, slavery, human traffic, the Holocaust, just to cite a few atrocities and non-sense behaviour the majority of people would accept with no questions asked.

Are we really an evolutionary version of our ancestors? It isn’t the first time I ask such a question in both the written and oral forms, and I’m afraid to say we’re actually their very limited versions if compared to the amount of knowledge they’ve produced, the physical capabilities they possessed, and the technologies they’ve created, which may be lost in the past. We’re actually on a regressive path to become as primitive as our ancestors from the stone age, and the explanation is very simple to understand. We’ve been led by a minority who want the majority to behave like slaves, feeding the illusion we’re all free but, at the same time, punishing those who perceive the math of a meaningful life and the equation of privileges don’t match.

Let’s step into our personal evolution, bringing ancient traditions of love and care about life as the ultimate goal from the past to the present moment. The duty is ours as well as the astonishing outcome it can generate in the benefit of all.
