The moment we get consciousness at hand we are able to recognise the path we are walking through, and how harsh and hard it can be when we realise and understand we have also to deal with suffering of another, which the majority of the time has no consciousness about the presence of negative conditioning aside from our love nature. Some become religious. Others live a life of isolation. Few can stand up in the middle of the crowd facing what humankind has known about the existence for millenia. The more we distance the self from the negative conditioning of suffering, the more we do not get impressed by recognising, and seeing what cannot be seen, experienced, and learned out of consciousness.
If you are a religious person, and have enrolled into a religious path, I share all my admiration about the wonderful human being you have potential to become. If you are not exactly a model of a religious person, walking towards the opposite direction of what we could call spirituality, I share all my admiration about the strength you have to demonstrate to support all challenges life may present on your path. If you are struggling with your life, feeling a little bit lost about what you are experiencing, I share the energy of love with you, hoping you could find your way to step out of suffering, gaining your strength again, and enrolling into any path able to enhance the love nature imprinted within the self.
The last Buddha, and all Buddhas before him, have achieved a clear understanding about what we face during the course of what we call life. Since the notion of what we call society, we have to formally face challenges hiding themselves in the shadows, which are wisely represented in history, and literature, as the two sides of the same coin, or what Greek mythology has called Medusa.
In Greek mythology the Medusa is well-known as a creature that turns anyone who gazes directly with the naked eyes towards her into stone, becoming an inanimate figure in the scene. Defeating Medusa has required consciousness, awareness, and wisdom to not fall into the illusion of using naked eyes directly, as seeing the surroundings through them is losing everything at all.
We are not in the ancient times of Greek mythology but we face similar challenges that can be represented as a Medusa. Sometimes when we look directly at a problem, seeing its origin with our naked eyes, we see nothing at all, being inserted into a deep illusion represented by the act of being turned into stone. However, when we start using our consciousness by taking our third eye into account to light our vision, we are able to realise and understand what we are facing is deeper than we thought, and it is more ancient than we could imagine. In addition, such an ancient challenge has the same capability we present for self-enhancement, reinventing the same negative conditioning into different forms we, sometimes, are only able to have a clear taste from our own perspective and relativity.
If we lose our mind to the Medusa, we would turn ourselves into stone, which may imply being crushed by something or someone, eventually. However, if we seek to perform our body and mind training, keeping the self awake and aware about the difficulties we have to face, we would realise and understand we have two clear options at hand: (1) embracing suffering; or (2) freeing the self from it.
At one side [embracing suffering] we may live our entire life into an illusion we have no idea about the consequences to life itself. On the other hand [freeing the self from suffering] we may have no clear idea about what future brings, but we are certain what happens in the present moment. The choice is always ours to take.
