For those who are fans of the kindness, compassion, and humanity shown by fictional superheroes, even against their enemies, let us use it as an inspiration to do the same within our own perspective and relativity. Let us remain conscious to what happens within and in the surroundings, ruling our mind based on the achievement of its peaceful state. By doing that, we get aware that suffering can be faced and diminished by the self, which is well-represented by the Green's Lantern oath I recall here:


“In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil might beware of my power… Green Lantern's light!"


The Green lantern's oath represents what Buddha, the enlightened one, disseminates in his teachings when talking about understanding our own suffering, and spreading the light we are capable of generating from the inside out. The first sentence "In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight" represents the capability of our consciousness to recognise any source of negativity that may cause disturbances to our mind, no matter how good or difficult the present moment is. We may be in the middle of a pleasurable moment but unconscious about what we are really experiencing, as well as being in a very challenging situation seeing no way to deal with it properly. By using our consciousness, we are always awakened and prepared to face anything, anytime, and at any circumstances.


The second sentence: "Let those who worship evil might beware of my power… Green Lantern's light!" is the clear understanding about how our kindness and compassion have to be presented to those who may be experiencing a period of suffering, inserting themselves into an obnoxious role on the scene. The more we use the unlimited power we have within, the more anyone will be able to see, even from a distance, the brightness of our light.


The Green Lantern's ring represents a vehicle of our will, which is controlled by our mind. Therefore, in the real  world, that ring is nothing more than the manifestation of our love nature towards the self and others. Let us be the superheroes of our own existence, and the vehicles of the huge decentralised movement to turn the world a peaceful and better place to live in.
