Sometimes we get challenged by the need to differentiate what we may call theory from what we may call practice. If we start thinking about those two fundamental concepts, we would be able to clearly understand that theory represents a general and simplified model, which the equation and use is able to explain the real-life phenomena we observe and consider as practice. As a consequence, if we’ve no correspondence and correlation between theory and practice, which implies observing theoretical models falling miserably to represent real-life phenomena, we understand there’s something going wrong, either with the hypotheses considered, or with the big picture we’re able to acquire from the perspective we get to observe a given real-life phenomenon, which may indicate the scene has been manipulated. Thus, if we get sad, depressed, or cultivate any negative emotion when observing differences between theory and practice, we’re nothing more than experiencing a period of suffering that says we aren’t strong enough to see, experience, and deal with the truth before us. The moment we realise that, it’s the moment we understand how to apply any teaching and piece of knowledge totally aligned with our love nature to the scene we’re part of, standing strong and tall to adapt, enhance, and acquire new priceless pieces of knowledge required to face and deal with any obnoxious behaviour derived from hatred culture using a conscious and meaningful attitude.

It’s important that we acquire the clear understanding of what we’re facing and dealing with in the present moment. The tough part is getting intimidated no more by the truth before us, mainly when the deceptive and deteriorating nature of what we’ve contact with has no correspondence with the expectation that is allowed and characterised by the theoretical model we use, which is the way that we acquire a given understanding of the situation we’re experiencing.

Our personal duty as creatures of love and conscious beings is extremely simple: keeping consciousness at hand no matter the circumstances, while getting either afraid or intimidated by any dishonoured, dishonest, deceptive, and obnoxious behaviour no more. The truth is always the truth, no matter how the scene gets both distorted and manipulated.

When we get contact with the Buddha’s teachings, it’s important that we put ourselves on the shoes of the Buddha himself, taking into consideration the period of time, societal organisation, and environmental conditions he was experiencing when that priceless piece of knowledge gets extracted. Thus, we get better equipped to understand the differences between that past time and the present moment, which enables us to perform an extremely feasible adaptation that leads us to step into higher stages of our personal evolution.

The truth gets always revealed to a conscious mind. The question is: are we prepared to see, face, and deal with that truth? The moment we realise that, it’s the moment we understand the real deal is getting ready to see, face, and deal with something we’ve been conditioned to believe in an illusory and fabricated nature.
