The more saturated we’re about something negative we’ve to deal with or experience, the more we need to attain higher levels of peace of mind in order to help keep consciousness at hand no matter the circumstances. Life isn’t always fair yet it doesn’t mean we’ve to accept anything dishonoured, dishonest, and deceptive towards the self. It’s also important to make room for facing uncertainty, i.e., being prepared to deal with an unexpected and harmful situation out of the sudden. The more prepared we’re, the easier it’s navigating through dangerous waters while cultivating and nurturing the beautiful light we’ve deep within.
Taking no action—or waiting for the right moment to perform defensive manoeuvres—requires a huge amount of mind power. The reason is almost intuitive yet extremely hard to accomplish in a genuine, conscious, and meaningful way. The majority of people become conditioned to exhibit an apparent strong and calm mind, actually being in a deep period of suffering with no understanding of what’s really happening in the present moment. There’s a well-known proverb related to that conditioned and illusory state of mind that says it’s better to be happy rather than to be right, i.e., we need to accept something we clearly know is wrong because of a widespread belief of the opposite. In every community where such a proverb is vivid and widely used, there’s no solid foundation to enable people to keep consciousness at hand and be in the present moment. It’s a crystal clear understanding every conscious mind is aware of.
The moment we realise the difference between being conscious and becoming conditioned, it’s the moment we understand consciousness at hand accepts no belief as a replacement of understanding.
