We need to know where we’re walking through in order to get prepared for unexpected situations materialising themselves before us, out of nowhere. We need always to be prepared for the unknown, and most importantly, being prepared for any dishonoured, dishonest, and deceptive behaviour from minds in suffering who’ve embraced darkness as a way of life. We cannot control others yet it doesn’t mean we’ve to accept and be inert before discrimination or any type of violation of human rights, mainly when happening to us or someone else close to us. We need to be soft and non-judgemental with people who haven't acquired the clarity of mind required to understand that, offering a supportive shoulder that establishes a common and safe ground to a person seeking to relax and rest beside someone who has got their back. The more conscious and strong we become, the easier it’s to fear the presence of darkness in the surroundings no more, enabling us to light a beacon of hope for dealing with the unknown in a conscious and meaningful way.
It’s a matter of understanding our personal duty to face the presence of darkness in the surroundings, no matter the circumstances. As a personal experience, I can say it may take decades to realise and understand such a duty, as we all have been clouded and conditioned by the influence of hatred culture and the huge amount of atrocities, conflicts, disasters, and wars happening every single day around the globe, implying the following question popping up from our inquisitive mind: If we’re really making progress through the passage of time, why are we still experiencing unequal societies, segregation of, e.g., developed and under-developed communities and states, as well as violations of fundamental human rights (knowing exactly what those rights are)? When we think about that, we realise and understand the idea of progress has caught up into an illusion that disregards the basic needs of human beings for the majority of people walking on this planet we call Earth. Billions of people live in miserable conditions, and considering the difference in the total number of people over the centuries, such conditions have improved a little or none for the aforementioned majority.
If we start leveraging hypotheses to explain what’s still happening since ancient times, we may say people are still attached to prophecies and religious beliefs associated with the deterioration of human beings as an excuse for a greater good. We’ve stopped allowing killing human beings as sacrifices for good fortune, prosperity of the land, sorcery, and so on. However, we’re still under the shadow of slavery and its segregative and unequal values. That’s why we need to establish a protective posture for people who seek us. There’s no room for discrimination anymore.
The moment we realise how to fear the presence of darkness no more, it’s the moment we understand how to be a strong and resilient person who can protect and be protected by loyal and honoured people we cross our path with, who decide to stay together when the situation and environmental conditions allow it to happen with little or no need to fight external and obnoxious resistance. While some of us need to incorporate the hard truth of walking alone the majority of time, we can take such a unique opportunity to perform our body and mind training, step into our personal evolution, and be ready to be a strong source of light no matter the circumstances.
