No matter how harsh life is in the present moment, we need to find a purpose, a goal to pursue, a motivation to face anything before us. We need to realise and understand where the origins of anything we’re facing, dealing with, and experiencing are, enabling us to draw suitable strategies that prioritise our personal evolution while making little or no effort with useless situations caused by external sources we’ve no control of, and therefore, we’ve no power to end consciously and meaningfully. The hamster’s metaphor applies here: if we get to make effort in order to make no progress from an external perspective, then the effort we’re making should result in our own enhancement, getting stronger, wiser, and more resilient against the presence of darkness in the surroundings or any negative energy we’ve contact with in the environment we’re inserted into. If we get in a situation where progress is extremely low, and we turn into a hamster that isn't able to step into their own evolution, then we’re nothing more than experiencing a deep period of suffering, where we deteriorate ourselves while experiencing no progress from any perspective we can observe the situation, which includes our own perspective and relativity.
When we start thinking about the hamster’s metaphor, applying it to our daily activities within the environment we’re inserted into, we start understanding that some of the harsh conditions, challenges, and difficulties we’re facing and dealing with have the origin somewhere on the outside, in a position we’ve usually no access or control. The hamster is totally dependent on his owner, living in a cage and with a wheel that, from an external perspective, leads them to make no progress at all. If hamsters have no consciousness, they’ll live their entire life both deteriorating and making purposeless effort leading towards nothing but reducing their lifespan.
We need to change our mindset in order to become nothing close to the aforementioned hamsters we were talking about in the last paragraph. Even when we face and deal with harsh conditions, challenges, and difficulties imposed by the environment we’re inserted into, which may lead us to live an extremely simple life even considering the level of knowledge we already possess, the most important thing to pay attention to is using the wheel we’ve available to step into our personal evolution, becoming stronger, wiser, and ready to trespass the barriers of the cage at the right moment, when we get well-prepared to face and deal with anything before us, no matter the circumstances.
Let’s remember: we don’t need a better wheel, equipment, or conditions. On the contrary, we just need to make the best of what we’ve at hand, and therefore, getting away from the cage-like situation we’re in at the present moment when it can offer little or nothing to contribute to our personal evolution. The more we realise that, the better we understand the beauty of the beautiful light we’ve deep within.
