We think and we don't think. We act and we don't act. We see and we don't see. We feel and we don't feel. We believe and we don't believe. The impermanence and attachment are clear as crystal.

In every situation of our existence we have impermanence and attachment in the surroundings, and as gears of our life wheel. They are not in the control of our actions, but they can be used in order to perform such controlling activities.

Impermanence is the concept of change. It is the state of movement, a constant change of the present. Impermanence is attached to the present as it dictates the flow of life, the sequence of different scenes and actions we experience in the here and now.

Attachment, otherwise, is the concept of no change. It is the state of rest, the need to hold something in a static and controlled state. Suffering walks hand-to-hand with attachment. When something we are attached to changes, there is room for suffering.

When we think too much about a specific thing, we get attached to those thoughts, attached to the feelings generated by such analytical and reflecting time. When we perform the same action, again and again, we get attached to that performance, attached to the sensations we experience while deep in the work of action itself.

Attachment can be a source of self-destruction if it is not well-driven and controlled. It can be explored, and it can be utilised to perform ostracism. A person can be attached to something or someone before the performance of actions to either ignore or be indifferent to such person. It is a kind of psychological torture we can avoid if we eliminate the suffering associated with indifference.

The moment we embrace impermanence and be aware and conscious about attachment, it is the moment we can recognise both and never lose hope.

As the impermanence states: everything is at change. If we think we have everything under control and static, we are for sure attached to that illusion.
