We have to build our inner peace like a potter builds a pot. It is a personal, detailed, cyclic activity, which is performed step by step to achieve the expected result. Inner peace is done the same way, as we have to mould our emotions and reactions to deal with negativity all around.

Inner peace is not something we achieve in a snap of fingers. It is something that takes time to build, to achieve its full potential. It is with inner peace we are able to control negativity inside. It is with inner peace we control our thoughts, which are personal and private, to filter what stays within and what comes out.

Inner peace can be recognised as a stationary state, a peaceful and static way to deal with daily activities. It is more than the eyes can catch. Life is impermanent and in constant movement, internally and externally. Inner peace is to master the internal movement of our mind, our thoughts and our emotions, in order to keep them controlled, to establish an internal filter of negativity to deal with the impermanence, the constant movement of the environment we are surrounded by.

Inner peace is one of the attributes required to master the four elements, and its associated properties. It is with inner peace we achieve the peaceful required to perform mind training, to enhance the self, and to be kind and compassionate with unpleasant, obnoxious people.

We have to master the calm of earth to be stable and strong in the face of awful situations. We have to master the energy of fire to know the right time to move. We have to master the element of water to renew our perspectives and reinvent ourselves as much as required to live a meaningful life. We have to master the essence of air, to know how to breathe properly.
