Honour is a quality with a tight bound around genuine love and compassion. It is with honour we say the goals do not justify the means. It is with honour we develop genuine love and compassion towards others. It is with honour we embrace impermanence, observe the universe, and walk our path to enlightenment.

It is easy to observe the concept of honour as it is something related to the self, related to the type of attitude we have towards others. Everytime something is done in the back of a person, with a clear intention to harm that person, that intention is characterised as an act of dishonour. It is an act of dishonour as it usually violates some kind of law. It is an act of dishonour as it uses the motivation of the greater good or an specific goal to justify the dirty means. It is an act of dishonour as it is clear that any person has a probability to be crucified. We can see such crucifixion in acts of dishonour present in history, such as the crucifixion of Jesus Christ or past wars documented.

Genuine love and compassion towards others are developed with honour in the foundation. The lack of honour prevents the cessation of suffering, as the intentions to harm others remains present in the self, in the attitudes and the code of conduct used.

Negative emotions such as anger and frustration can be utilised in the conditioning of dishonour, as such emotions are related to suffering, the feeling of emptiness, and the need to fill up the empty space with something else.
To act with honour is to act with a genuine love and compassion attitude. It is to be conscious about our strengths and weaknesses, and aware about what is in the surroundings.

The moment we see the existence of dishonour in the surroundings, it is the moment we see the clear need to perform our mind training, to improve the self, and to prepare ourselves to face anything that may come from any direction.
