Our state of mind is our compass that guides us towards the goals we would like to achieve. It is with a controlled mind we can deal with difficulties within the environment we live in. It is with a controlled mind we are able to recognise what we have to improve within ourselves, and what are the big challenges we need to overcome. It is with a controlled mind we rule ourselves to break the bind to the darkness, to establish a bound to the light.

We may get lost In the experience of negative environments or difficult situations. Our compass may get a little bit disoriented, with no indication of a clear direction to walk towards. At those moments of disorientation, with the sensation of loss, and the feeling of emptiness, we need our consciousness to take the driver’s seat of our mind.

It is with a controlled mind we are able to use our brain in a proper way. It is with a controlled mind we can recognise the rising of negative emotions, to attenuate its effects within our mind and body. It is with a controlled mind we are able to come to reason, to tap into our conscious and analytical modus operandi to stop the unconscious, to prevent it from taking decisions and control our life’s wheel.

It is with consciousness we train our unconscious to act with kindness, an ultra fast and reliable modus operandi of our automated task executor. We need our unconscious for fast reactions to the external stimuli, such as an unpredictable road problem, which needs an almost instantaneous action to the brakes of the car to prevent an accident.

It is with mind training we make our unconscious to act in a similar way our consciousness does, but very fast, with little or no interference of inference or reasoning processing.
It is clear as crystal we need to tap into ancient knowledge to recover from the past the value of nature, and to point our internal compass in the direction of the light. It is clear as crystal we have to incorporate our past generations, which are dormant within our DNA, to overcome old challenges dressed in modern clothes, and new shapes.

Many Buddhas have lived in the past. Many teachings have been provided, and transmitted throughout generations. Many ancestors have been prosecuted, and we still face the same challenge from many centuries ago: dealing with darkness and its associated suffering.
