The true power is deep within, and we can only realise and understand that the moment we start feeling it. Although the importance of keeping consciousness at hand, we cannot get obsessed to attain that state. It should be developed at our own pace, step by step, forged through our own experiences and practices, taking the time and effort that need to be taken from our own perspective and relativity. The secret of opening our third eye to see the truth before us is understanding our imperfect and impermanent nature. Being soft with the self is the first and fundamental step to start acquiring priceless pieces of knowledge derived from our own path and discoveries. The stronger we become, the more open we’re to observe, analyse, and understand what happens in the present moment.
Fear is a mind trick fed by the negativity we’ve contact with in the environment we’re inserted into. It’s extremely easy to be deceived, as we get daily doses of chaos wherever we look at, or whatever we try to do while just living our life in the middle of modern society. We get used to being powerless against fear, and therefore, paralysed by the negative conditioning of having no reaction to avoid any type of punishment. It’s the scale of terror, which creates the scale of comfort. The more comfortable we’re, the less troubles, issues, and negativity we need to deal with. Thus, the more issues we’ve to face, and the more we want to be comfortable, the greater is our desire to avoid anything negative, mainly when we’re in periods of relaxation. That unconscious behaviour is the mind trick used against us for performing the negative conditioning of fearing the unknown, i.e., fearing anything outside from our comfort zone. We need to break the negative side-effects of that conditioning.
It’s important to understand that who defines comfort is our mind instead of the environment we’re inserted into in the present moment. And comfort starts with peace of mind. The more peaceful our mind is, the more comfortable we’re, no matter the circumstances. Understanding the right control of what a comfort zone truly means changes all the perspectives and understanding we may have acquired about what fear really is and represents to us.
Let’s remember our imperfect and impermanent nature, which is in constant evolution. Let’s walk, step by step, towards higher levels of peace of mind. Let’s not get worried about how long it may take to attain enhanced peaceful states. The most important thing is making progress, no matter how small we may consider a step forward we’ve just performed.
The truth is that we just realise how powerful we’ve become when looking back to understand how far we already are from the point we have started, and how uncertain it’s anything ahead we’re attempting to observe from the mark we’ve already conquered.
