The speed we move towards the path we are following is not to anyone to judge or decide but the self. Sometimes we are inserted into a fabricated illusion that we are moving extremely fast but actually we are not making progress at all. There are also moments when we have the sensation of a very slow movement that is actually resulting in large steps with huge progress in the achievement of higher levels of peace of mind. It is always a matter of how conscious we are in the observation of the self, and the environment we are inserted into. The more we recognise the illusions we have contact with, the more we understand what reality means within our own perspective and relativity.
We cannot compare the self with another. We have to compare the self with our past versions, targeting one we were in a given past moment. Our personal evolution, the periods of suffering we have stepped into, the knowledge we have acquired, all is derived from our capability to analyse and understand the course of our own path.
The concept of fast and slow is relative to our own perspective and relativity. It depends on the environment we are inserted into, and how prepared we are to face the magnitude and the number of challenges and difficulties life presents to us in the present moment. There are moments we can lift a mountain, or even the entire globe, making progress and moving smoothly towards the beautiful path we are walking through, implying the achievement of higher levels of peace of mind. However, there are also moments when we get stuck, feeling a huge weight on our shoulders because we are experiencing suffering, making little or no progress in the enhancement of the self.
The moment we realise it is much more important to enhance the self in a conscious and meaningful way, it is the moment we understand there is no fast or slow way of doing it.
