It’s time to renew that old feeling of hope, implying that something good will happen in the middle of all the negativity we need to face and deal with in the present moment. Hope is always there, and we need to not let that flame vanish from who we really are. Buddha, the enlightened one, taught us about getting detached from our ego, which may imply removing the idea of the self from the equation of life, getting totally integrated into the universe itself, a bigger and wider view of promoting and caring about life that we can use to extend the perspective of looking into a given moment or situation we’re experiencing. However, I personally find more tractable and sound to see and interpret the need to remove the idea of the self as taking into consideration what happens in the universe and in the surroundings to characterise and understand the position and the contributions of the current self to the whole instead of establishing a rigid priority order where the whole always comes first when talking about something specific and related to the actions and behaviours of a given sentient being. Such an interpretation gives us hope that even a tiny contribution within our own perspective and relativity may have the power to change the whole in a way similar to a doppler effect, which makes all sense to keep cultivating and nurturing our love nature deep within, even if no one is able to see, touch, or understand it from an external perspective.
Hope should never be dropped, no matter how unfavourable and unfair the environment we’re inserted into or the situation we’re dealing with seems to be. Sometimes, out of the sudden, we get rewarded by the impermanence of the universe, reminding us that we can always rise up again without having to embrace any negative outcome we need to deal with during our life journey. It’s just a matter of keeping consciousness at hand and understanding that everything comes and goes, implying that getting attached to those impermanent situations or states is just stepping into a deep loop of suffering and being unconscious of what really happens in the present moment. Getting aware and awaken about that is a crucial step to understand how astonishing our mind really is.
