When we are in a hostile environment, dealing with discrimination, human rights violations, and mainly lack of honour, our first instinct is stepping into a period of suffering, trying to stop the external source of disturbance our unconscious mind has identified in the middle of the illusion experienced. It has no use doing that. Instead, we can keep consciousness at hand and observe. We can take the opportunity to perform our body and mind training, attaining higher levels of peace of mind no matter the circumstances.
The lack of honour observed in the environment we are inserted into is an issue we cannot solve from our own perspective and relativity. Lack of honour is an indication of suffering, and suffering is something we have to deal with on our own. Therefore, the honour of caring about life as the ultimate goal is our personal duty. We cannot put the life of another being at risk just to prove a violation is at course. We have to find another way, and if there is no other way to stop darkness from spreading unless putting a life at risk, then let us put our own.
Let us face darkness by cultivating and nurturing the beautiful light we have inside. Let us do that using the pure and strong energy of love and life from the inside out. Let us be happy no matter the circumstances, getting prepared to deal with obnoxious behaviours and situations. Our genuine happiness may disturb a conditioned mind, which will attempt to break us with the illusion that such a break will bring them the same kind of happiness we are feeling. It is just another illusion a conditioned mind cannot step out.
The moment we realise we are the harbinger of the astonishing benefits of walking the path towards a meaningful life, it is the moment we understand what life is all about.
