It’s important to be soft with the self in order to clearly observe, analyse, and understand what happens in the present moment, opening room for establishing a safe ground deep within where we can find higher levels of inner peace. Such a peaceful state is exclusively to benefit the self not for others to get comfortable with. No matter what we do, and no matter what we’re dealing with, we need to be certain of all decisions we make—and all actions we take—in order to cultivate and step into higher levels of peace of mind. The more we are comfortable facing and dealing with the unknown and the impermanence of the universe, the easier it’s to establish an inner peace state that is beneficial to the self instead of others.
Let’s not be worried about others when the subject is our well-being. The person more interested in keeping a good health and shape is the self, and that is a hard truth we need to incorporate deep within. Others are just fulfilling their desires, which may not be totally aligned with our well-being and the goal of becoming the best version of the self every single day. Although we’ve no reason to be worried about others, we need to deal with periods of suffering we observe in the surroundings, mainly the ones with clear intention to cause us harm.
Enhancing the self, both physically and mentally, is the best strategy we can use to deal with anything aside from our love nature, which we’ve contact with. Let’s never forget that. The moment we’re confident enough to deal with anything life presents to us, it’s the moment we understand who we really are.
