No matter how good, kind, compassionate, and helpful we’re, there’s always someone who would hate us for no reason. It’s the law of the universe having someone who hates us, and attaining such hard and harsh understanding is tough yet liberating. We start paying little or no attention to negative criticism or deteriorative opinions of others. We start living our life to its full extent, attaining the best we can attain with the resources we’ve at hand. We use much more knowledge and wisdom than money, and as a consequence, we put unmeasurable value in acquiring and sharing both knowledge and wisdom rather than using the illusory power of money, which can genuinely buy nothing that really matters. The haters gonna hate us no matter what. Why do we pay attention to the negativity coming from the outside? The more we realise that, the better we understand that haters like to criticise the life of another by the lack of knowledge required to understand their own suffering. Let them talk and let’s walk the path towards a meaningful life no matter the circumstances.

Is there a religion, group, or any type of movement which the base to get people together is hatred? If such a religion, group, or movement exists, I’ve no idea. However, we’ve examples from the Nazism and what happened during World War II, as well as a huge number of examples on the World Wide Web (WWW) full of hate speech. Do you know someone who’s hated by a group of people for any reason or circumstance? Have you asked yourself why hatred culture and negative criticism totally ignore conventions and laws of the society, exhibiting and showing a huge confidence in the impunity of their actions and associated negativity?

Let’s think a little bit. If someone who hates us criticises the colour of our shirt, or the way we communicate and share our thoughts and moments with others, to whom that negativity belongs? Ourselves? Or the person who’s criticising us? There’s a Buddha’s teaching about accepting no gift with the clear intention to deteriorate us. We’re totally allowed to accept no gift and return it to whomever it belongs.

As haters are eagerly desiring to cause harm to others, such minds in suffering usually only stop if they see people they hate experiencing difficulties, i.e., having life experiences worse than their own experiences. Thus, mainly in Brazil, there’s a negative conditioning that says we can only share anything bringing good fortune if we’ve a lot of money in our bank account, because with money we can both inspire others and properly defend ourselves from haters. It’s indeed a belief inherited from the period where slavery was a common and allowed practice. Slavery is no more, yet the majority of the social conventions and habits are still vivid and adapted from the period people were treated differently regarding race, religion, social status, and financial power.

The moment we realise what supports the foundation of hatred culture, it’s the moment we understand such a support is a common negative belief with no face yet the same eager desire to see someone considered inferior suffering, sometimes as a way of entertainment. When we break free from the chains of hatred culture, we fear the presence of darkness in the surroundings no more.

Let’s be brave to free ourselves from our own suffering, enabling us to fear no more and live the full extent of our own life.
